Because this breed has a tendency to gain weight an adapted nutritional profile has been used to reduce fat content & increase protein levels which help promote lean muscle mass maintenance & development. Bone & joint health is also put at a premium, this is done via the balance of calcium & phosphorus which improves bone mineralisation & overall joint health.
