The N-8000DI is a Direct select unit designed for use with TOA's packet intercom system (IP network-compatible intercom system) that employs the packet audio technology. It is equipped with each 32 contact inputs and outputs. and the indicators on the front panel indicate the output statuses. Connecting the unit to the LAN permits the calling station display. external equipment control. and direct selection function to be realized. It can be mounted in an EIA equipment rack (1U size) with the use of an accessory rack mounting bracket or installed on a wall using an optional wall mounting bracket.The direct select unit is designed for use with TOA's packet intercom system (IP network compatible intercom system) that employs the packet audio technology and can be connected to an existing local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN).Network shall be made possible using RJ45 connection via a switching hub. Network interface shall be I/F 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX (Automatic-Negotiation) Auto MDI/MDI-X compatible Network Protocol TCP/IP. UDP. ARP. ICMP. HTTP. RTP. IGMP.The direct select unit shall have 32 contact inputs and outputs via removable terminal plugs located at the rear of the unit and the relating indicator lamps on the front panel shall depict the output status. Connecting the unit to a LAN via its RJ45 connector permits the channel status indicator to display external control equipment and direct select function to be realised.The direct select unit shall have additional indication lamps on the front panel displaying: LNK/ACT lights green when connected to a network. and flashes while transmitting or receiving data. STATUS continuously lights red while data is written to an internal storage medium. POWER lights green when power is supplied to the unit. CHANNEL STATUS INDICATOR lights green when contact output is on. There shall be a RESET key on the front panel to reactivate the unit. The direct select unit shall be able to interlock with an electronic lock system or CCTV surveillance system by way of the contact input/output control function.The direct select unit shall have set time system diagnosis using contact control outputs to indicate the line and network status. Line status shall indicate; CPU failure. line synchronisation error and station number registered but not connected. While network status shall communicate with the network-connected equipment such as exchanges. interface units. or IP stations. No response will indicate in a failure. The direct select unit shall include dedicated software that will enable centralised control. log verification and system maintenance from a personal computer. Line supervision can also be performed using a personal computer and Internet browser.
