Môr-Ladron Salted Caramel Spiced rum is a 70cl organic spirit produced using the finest organic molasses. It's rested on Gower in reclaimed oak barrels and infused with samphire, muscovado sugar, and caramel. On the nose, aromas of caramel and molasses sweetness with just the suggestion of salinity and dried fruits are present. The mouthful is rich and creamy with a chocolate and caramel sweetness and a warming spice on the finish. It's delicious on its own, over ice, or mixed with a good cola for a longer drink. This rum fits with Gower's pirate past, with the shipwrecks, placenames, and hideaways on the Gower Peninsula revealing the area's pirate history. The hidden coves on Gower and its remote location provided the perfect place for pirates to operate. In Port Eynon, where Môr-Ladron rum is aged, there is Culver Hole, an ancient cave with a 60ft stone wall in front. It might have been built as a dovecote, but most likely it was used to store smuggled goods. Local rumours tell of a hidden tunnel which allowed local pirates to operate.
