Product Description

Hombo 'Arawaza Stannum' Japanese Shochu is a traditional distilled beverage made from grains and vegetables. The most common base ingredients are sweet potato, barley, rice, buckwheat and sugar cane. 'ARAWAZA Stannum' is a sweet potato Japanese shochu made using Hombo's patented 'polished distillation' method with tin heating and cooling coil instead of stainless steel. 'Stannum' means 'tin' in Latin, and tin has the ability to adsorb impurities, so liquor made using tin pipes has a mellow taste with few unpleasant flavors. This is a 'Honkaku Shochu', a traditional, authentic Japanese distilled spirit, characterized by single distillation and the retention of the flavor and aroma of its base ingredients. It is made in Kagoshima Prefecture and has an ABV of 36%. It can be served at room temperature, on the rocks, or with soda water.
