This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a robust expression of the native Montepulciano grape, which thrives in the hilly vineyards of Lorento Aprutino. The grapes undergo a 12-day skin maceration to extract deep colour and tannin, followed by 12 months in large, old Slavonian oak barrels, imparting a smooth texture and gentle oak character. The result is a rich and structured wine with a surprising freshness, perfect for enjoying now or within the next five years.
