Alias de Croizet-Bages Pauillac, Bordeaux, 2016

When looking for good quality Bordeaux, Pauillac is one of the most prestigious appellations. Château Croizet Bages was founded in the 17th century, and in 1936 it was bought by the Quié family who still run it today. This complex wine is a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 16% Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak for 12 months followed by many years developing in bottle, this wine is full of layers. Expect violet floral notes as well as flavours of black fruit, spice, and cedar.
