Billecart-Salmon Le Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut Champagne

Founded in 1818 by Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, Billecart-Salmon is one of the few remaining family-owned Champagne houses, now in its seventh generation. Located in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, in the heart of the region, the house has been dedicated to producing elegant and refined Champagnes for over two centuries. This is a delicate Blanc de Blancs with a rich mousse and lively fine bubbles. Made from 100% Chardonnay from grapes across four Grand Cru vineyard sites, this is an exceptional wine with real precision. The base wine was vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve fruit character before undergoing secondary fermentation in bottle. The wine was aged on lees for 5 years adding plenty of toasty complexity. The final blend comprises between 20% and 50% of reserve wines. Discover pure mineral intensity on the nose, with notes of brioche, fresh butter, and white flowers. On the palate it's creamy with a slight chalky texture with notes of fresh almond, citrus zest, and a touch of salinity.
