Belhara Estate, a family winery in Mendoza's Uco Valley, crafts artisanal red blends and single vineyard wines. Owner and winemaker Stephen Huse trained at Bordeaux University and worked at Châteaux Margaux, Mouton-Rothschild, Harlan Estate, Merryvale Vineyards, and Almaviva. This 75cl bottle of Belhara Gran Corte is sourced from selected limestone blocks of old vines in the Valle de Uco. The Cabernet Franc vines are from cuttings taken from Pomerol in Bordeaux. The wine's nose is smoky with black fruit, cassis, and dark cherries. On the palate, opulent flavors of blueberry and blackberry are complemented by notes of roasted coffee and cinnamon on a long, lavish finish. A blend of 60% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Franc.
