Birdy Swing table lamp: a design classic from 1952 in a new edition The creative mind behind the Birdy Swing series of lights, which includes this table lamp, was Norwegian industrial designer Birger Dahl (1916–1998), who gave it its geometric look with soft contours and clear lines. Birger Dahl had a decisive influence on Nordic style, and Birdy Swing quickly became a design icon.
