Plasterboard tape also known as scrim tape is used to reinforce plasterboard joins and repairs cracks in plasterboard. Manufactured from woven fibreglass threads in a mesh pattern ProSolve plasterboard tape is self-adhesive one side making it easy to apply directly to the joints between plasterboard panels without a jointing compound. The mesh design aids in creating a strong join once plastering is complete - If you fail to prepare properly and don't use scrim tape prior to plastering you will have weak spots that can lead to cracks.
