The bolsters provide extra strength because the handle blade and head are drop-forged as a whole rather than just forging the blade. The blade is specially hardened and tempered to provide a long-lasting edge. The bolsters have a domed head which helps to extend the usable life by preventing splintering and mushrooming from continued use. They are fitted with a high-quality hand guard for added safety.
