Rockwool Acoustic Intumescent Sealant supplied in 310ml cartridges. High-performance, water-based acrylic sealant formulated for sealing linear joints and service penetrations within fire-rated wall and floor constructions. Designed specifically for use with Rockwool Ablative Coated Batt, the sealant reinstates fire resistance, acoustic integrity, and air tightness where building services or joints interrupt compartment lines. The intumescent formulation expands under fire conditions to close small gaps and restrict the passage of flames, smoke, and gases. Once cured, it forms a flexible, durable seal capable of accommodating building movement without cracking or loss of adhesion. Tested to provide up to four hours’ fire resistance, the sealant also delivers verified acoustic and air leakage performance, making it suitable for both fire protection and sound control applications across multiple substrates.
