Please note: An 8mm thick metal spindle will be required to complete the installation of this product. Please check the thickness of the gate to which you are fixing the latch, as this will determine the length of spindle required. Care & Maintenance Product comes with screw fixings. Due to the nature of the material, a pilot hole must be drilled first, to prevent the screw from shearing. Also, screws should be tightened by hand. Do not use a power screwdriver or drill. Cast Iron is a ferrous metal and is prone to rusting. Regular maintenance with a household wax polish is required to help prevent rusting.
