Product Description

Behold the Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea arborescens ‘Pink Annabelle’, an improved version of the classic ‘Annabelle’. This hardy, herbaceous shrub presents stunning pink blooms, offering a reliable display year after year throughout the summer, unfazed by pruning or challenging weather. Unlike older varieties, ‘Pink Annabelle’ flowers on new wood. Its stems remain upright in all weather conditions. The sturdy stems stand upright, capable of supporting the large blooms, which can reach up to 30cm in diameter. This plant is perfect for attracting attention in any garden. For optimal growth, position in a sunny or semi-shaded spot, sheltered from cold, drying winds. Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea Arborescens ‘Pink Annabelle’ thrives in rich, fertile, moist soil. Before planting, enrich the soil with well-rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring it's thoroughly mixed in. Alternatively, plant in patio containers using ericaceous compost. To protect delicate buds from frost damage, leave faded flower heads in place until new buds appear in spring. Prune after flowering to manage growth and enhance the plant's shape. After pruning, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost around the plant's base.Caution: Contact with foliage may irritate skin and eyes.
