Using such a precise piston to body fit eliminates the need for O-ring piston seals which are a common failure point in other designs, giving improved responsiveness and long service life.The Kompact range is available as universal, turbo specific and vehicle-specific bolt-on (Shortie - flanged 2 or 3 bolt fitting) options, in either a Dual-Port or Plumb-Back configuration, depending on the application type.The Dual-Port valve is designed to give a 50/50 split so that it part recirculates the charge-air into the intake and part vents into the atmosphere. This gives a noticeable turbo whoosh at high boost levels but is quieter at lower levels.The Plumb-Back valve design fully recirculates all the compressed charge-air back into the intake system for owners who want the stealth approach of extra performance, without additional undue attention and noise.The Kompact series can replace factory Bosch or Denso type valves as fitted to many VAG, Ford, Saab and Porsche applications depending on the type and dimensions of the original valve.For newer vehicles that require ECU control over the BOV/dump valve, Turbosmart offers the Kompact EM (Electro-Mechanical) valves which offers the same great Dual-Port or Plumb-Back charge-air flow options but replaces the vacuum-operated activation with a faster more accurate solenoid and pressure control system that integrates fully with the OE factory management system giving a true plug and play solution.For some specific applications, Turbosmart offers Kompact BOV kits that include multiple valves, hoses and fittings to make upgrades as easy as possible*.*Please Note -Kit contents will vary depending on vehicle application.
