Ideal for shady borders, these breathtaking blooms are also highly sought after by flower arrangers for creating elegant dried displays. A wonderful specimen plant, it would be perfectly at home in a woodland garden setting. Position in a sunny or partially shaded location, sheltered from harsh weather, and ensure rich, fertile, moist soil for best results; supplement with compost or manure if needed. To maintain its stunning appearance, leave the faded flower heads in place until new buds appear in spring to protect against frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict growth to the available space and improve the plant's shape, then apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost around the base.
