Product Description

This collection brings together a selection of well-loved potato varieties, each with its own distinct character and culinary appeal.First up is ‘Desiree’, celebrated as the world's most popular red potato, with its vibrant red skin and versatile pale yellow, firm, waxy flesh, equally at home boiled, mashed, or roasted. Then there's ‘King Edward’, a late maincrop favourite, boasting creamy white flesh with a light, floury texture that rarely discolours on cooking and holds its shape beautifully during cooking.Charlotte’ offers a delightful second early option, producing pear-shaped, yellow-skinned, waxy tubers with a creamy yellow flesh of first-class flavour that excels whether served hot or cold. ‘Maris Peer’, another second early gem, is favoured by chefs and gardeners alike for its firm, creamy yellow flesh that maintains its colour and flavour without falling apart. Finally, ‘Pentland Javelin’, a first early variety, provides a lovely soft, waxy texture with white skin and flesh, perfect for salads or as new potatoes. This variety stands out for its high yield and impressive all-round disease resistance. These potatoes thrive in full sun, reaching up to 60cm in both height and spread when fully established. Each collection contains 1kg of Potatoes Desiree, King Edward, Charlotte, Maris Peer, and Pentland Javelin. Expect to harvest from May to September. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months.
