Product Description

Welcome summer with the radiant glow of Magnolia ‘Yellow Bird’! This 'Lily Tree' variety heralds the season with a stunning display of lemon-yellow, goblet-shaped flowers each spring. As the dark green leaves emerge, the delightful contrast of green and gold illuminates your garden, setting the stage for summer's arrival.Naturally developing into a medium-sized tree, it serves as an ideal centrepiece for sun-drenched gardens or areas of partial shade, providing effortless colour and structure throughout the year. For those with limited space, it's easily pruned to maintain your desired shape and size. Providing low-maintenance colour and structure year after year. For optimal growth, plant your magnolia in a sunny or semi-shaded location, sheltered from harsh winds and late spring frosts. These magnolias thrive in rich, moist, well-drained soil that is either acidic or neutral. Enhance the soil prior to planting by incorporating plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring it is thoroughly mixed in.Magnolia plants establish more rapidly when their roots are shaded. After planting, apply a mulch of well-rotted bark chips, manure, or garden compost, being careful to avoid piling it around the plant's stem. When planting magnolias in patio containers, use a blend of ericaceous compost combined with John Innes No. 3.Position: Full Sun/Partial Shade.Height: Reaching up to 5m when fully established.Spread: Extending up to 3m when fully established.Supplied as 1 x Magnolia ‘Yellow Bird’ bare root plant.Images are for illustrative purposes, showing expected results upon maturity. Different growing conditions may lead to varied outcomes. Image may illustrate supply but can vary due to seasonal changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose their leaves in colder months).
