Product Description

The lightweight Clarke IBC12/24 Intelligent Battery Charger can be used to rapidly charge all 12V and 24V lead-acid and 12V LiFeP04 batteries, delivering up to 15A of charge for a 12V battery, 8A of charge for a 24V battery and a massive 20A of charge using the Boost function to start vehicles. This ensures a rapid charge which saves valuable time for the user, with a standard 12V 160Ah battery being fully charged in just 12 minutes. Benefitting from crocodile clips and fly leads to suit most applications, the Intelligent Battery Charger provides a 10 step charging process to charge, maintain, repair, boost and supply batteries. The internal microprocessor allows for a 10 step charging process consisting of: Step 1: Analyse 1. Checks battery is connected to charger Step 2: Desulphation. A pulse charge to remove sulphate Step 3: Soft Start. Charges with a gradual increase in charging current Step 4: Controlled Current Charge. Adjusts the charging current as needed Step 5: Analyse 2. Conducts tests to ensure battery is absorbing charge Step 6: Constant Output Charge. Charges with constant voltage and compensates fake full charge caused by high current charging Step 7: Recovery Cycle Charge. Absorbs more charge and compensates side effects of reduced charging current Step 8: Absorption. Charges with constant trickle current for maximum battery voltage Step 9: Analyse 3. Tests if the battery can hold charge Step 10: Maintenance. Continuously monitors the battery and charges with trickle current once the voltage is lower than the threshold. This advanced process provides maximum charge and capacity to batteries, which may help prolong their life. Additionally, the battery charger benefits from convenient cable management which reduces the risk of trip hazards, and is wall mountable for easy storage in a home garage or workshop, keeping the work area tidy and saving on space. The interface of the Clarke IBC12/24 Intelligent Battery Charger takes a very complex process and simplifies it down for the user into four buttons (Type, Function, Voltage, On/Off) along with digital and LED display to identify when batteries are charged, making the product extremely user friendly. Safety is paramount with the Intelligent Battery Charger, utilising overload and overheat protection, reverse polarity protection, spark protection, and short circuit protection which ensures the user is safe at all times.
