Glowflare Short Film Festival returns on Saturday 18 April 2026 at Parkway Cinema Beverley, bringing a full day of bold, independent short filmmaking to the big screen. Organised by a Hull-based team, the festival champions emerging talent, presenting films under 40 minutes from Yorkshire, across the UK and international creative communities.
The 2026 programme features 40 selected short films, including 11 student productions and work from 15 first-time filmmakers, presented across five curated screening sessions. The line-up spans narrative, documentary, animation and experimental cinema, combining regional voices with global perspectives. Selected films such as Gan Canny, Twain, Sands of Purgatory, Reparation and Tea With Friends lead into this yearβs awards presentation.
Audiences can enjoy a range of festival experiences, including filmmaker Q&A sessions, live awards, audience voting and networking opportunities, all within a cinema setting. With contributors and attendees from Hull, Leeds, Sheffield, York and beyond, Glowflare Short Film Festival continues to support the growth of independent film and the wider creative sector across Yorkshire.
Tickets are available as Session Passes (Β£5) or Festival Passes (Β£15). Early booking is recommended as capacity is limited.
