Glowflare is a Hull-based media and film organisation founded in 2015, focused on supporting independent filmmakers and creating opportunities for new voices in cinema. What began as a creative production and marketing company has grown into a platform for showcasing film, connecting audiences with emerging talent from across the UK and beyond.

In recent years, Glowflare has expanded into film festivals, launching the Glowflare Short Film Festival in 2024. The event celebrates short-form filmmaking across all genres, bringing together international submissions, live screenings and networking opportunities for filmmakers and audiences alike. Building on this success, Glowflare introduced the Glowflare Horror Film Festival in 2025, a dedicated event highlighting horror cinema in all its forms, from psychological thrillers to supernatural storytelling.

Together, these festivals have established Glowflare as a growing presence in the independent film scene, particularly across Yorkshire. By creating accessible, filmmaker-friendly events and embracing both general and genre-focused storytelling, Glowflare continues to develop as a platform that champions creativity, collaboration and new cinematic voices.
